Laserlyte has a solution for the .22 ammo shortage... battery powered, "click of the trigger activated," laser activated targets you can use indoors in your living room, man-cave, attic, or back porch. Their innovative non-firing laser targets and gun lasers are all "ala carte" so they lead to confusion: "What am I buying here? What do I need to buy to shoot laser beams indoors?" Here's the story...
|The Training Target System is a target only. It records laser hits until you reset the target. It costs a lot of money. We sell it for $155.00.
||An AR15 .223 dedicated kit comes with a special buffer insert, laser, and charging handle. Use the charging handle to reset your AR's hammer for each trigger pull; there's no recoil from the laser shot, so the hammer will not reset itself. Price: $110.00. Target not included.
|A pair of less complicated laser targets comes in the Reaction Tyme targets. Price: $116.00 for the two together.
||The Trigger Tyme pistol is double action, so it solves the problem of resetting an autoloading pistol's mechanism in order to make the laser shoot again. This is the pistol only, without a laser, for $36.00. A compact version is two dollars more. Use the 9/40/45 laser to make shots on one of the laser targets.
|Neatest of the bunch are the 3 pack of laser activated, soda pop cans. They jump when you hit them with a laser beam. Price: $95.00 for 3 cans.
Each of the laser targets uses common batteries (9V or AA) to function. Use them as far away as 50 yards. Battery life can be as much as 6,000 shots. The targets are NOT weatherproof. You can use them outdoors, if you like, but only in good weather.
Nearly all these items are "ala carte." Laserlyte only has one "package deal" or "kit." It has a plastic gun, laser, and laser target for $185.00.
|Big bore hunting rifles, sniper rifles, competition rifles, plus shotguns, can be put to use firing laser beams with an insert:
The .300 Winchester Magnum chamber insert has no laser. Plug the Laserlyte .223 laser into the chamber insert to have a complete, working laser in .300 Win. Mag. This is true of the other calibers of inserts available: .308, .30-06, .270, and 7mm Remington Magnum. If you want a laser in a .223, just buy the .223 as it is a laser that does not need a separate insert. Clear as mud?!?
Muzzle insert laser for 12 to 20 gauge shotguns. The black plastic tip can be adjusted for a firm fit that centers the insert in the barrel.
The beauty of this system is that each insert is not dependent on action type, but rather caliber (or gauge). Example: the .270 Winchester insert can be used in a single shot rifle or Encore handgun, bolt action, pump action, or semi-auto. Likewise, the shotgun insert will work in a single shot 12 gauge, a pump or semi-auto 20 gauge, or one tube of a double barreled shotgun.
|The Laserlyte formula for safe, enjoyable fun in the Politically Correct, ammo-scarce, Big Brother ruled, lead-outlawed, environmentally severe, Obaminable New World Order:
LASER + GUN + TARGET = FUN
The current economics: $50 to $90 for 500 rounds of .22 long rifle that you can easily shoot up in less than an hour, OR a laser system that starts at $185.00 and only uses alkaline batteries. This is an option that costs some money for the initial investment, but can save time and money, and increase training experience too.
