Buying a firearm

Federal gun laws prevent us from shipping directly to individuals. However, you can buy from us and we can ship your firearm to a licensed gun dealer in your area of the U.S. Since most States do not charge sales tax on an interstate sale (we're based in Arkansas), people living in most other States can save money by buying through us (known exceptions: New York and New Jersey collect sales tax on out-of-state sales).

Buying a firearm from Andean is an easy process. We do most of the work. You comply with Federal, State, and local laws by filling out paperwork and going through a background check to verify you're not a criminal.

  • We will find a licensed gun dealer in your area willing to do a transfer. This is your "transfer agent."
  • We will get the transfer agent to mail or fax a signed copy of his firearms license (FFL)
  • Send payment to the selling dealer. If you are buying a gun from us, you can purchase online, or call in your order by phone. You can pay with credit card, check, cashier's check, or money order. There is a 10 day hold on personal or business checks.
  • The selling dealer sends the gun and a signed-in-ink copy of his license (FFL) to the transfer agent.
  • The transfer agent contacts the buyer.
  • The transfer agent helps the buyer fill out all Federal, State, and local paperwork. The Federal Form 4473 must be completed. The paperwork process may include a background check on the buyer.
  • The buyer takes the gun after complying with all the regulations.

It is possible for a person who does not live in the USA to purchase a firearm here, but Andean does not have an import/export license. Andean does not export firearms to other countries. Non-USA-residents may not purchase a firearm in the USA and take delivery of it here; the firearm must be legally exported outside the USA to your country, in compliance with all laws of both countries.
