Geissele AR15 match triggers are second to none! Designed by a mechanical engineer, high master, service rifle shooter, the Geissele (pronounced GUY-sell-lee) Automatic has features no other trigger does. First, they start with specially selected steel alloys. The Geissele has been tested in a mechanical device for 10,000 trigger pulls. It had the same weight and feel at the end of the test! No slop, no weakness, no problems! Second, they designed its hammer/sear angles for optimal performance. The surfaces are ground and polished at the exact angles needed to produce a "glass break," match trigger pull. As a result, Geissele match triggers actually FEEL lighter than they are. There are three basic designs: 1) service rifle, for NRA/CMP legal "service rifle" shooting, 2) match rifle, for NRA legal, "match rifle" highpower shooting, and 3) Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR), for tactical and sniping purposes. Each of these 3 designs is available for either 1) small hole (milspec) receivers, or 2) large hole (Colt commercial) receivers. The differences are easy to understand; it is all about the first and second stage trigger weight. Service rifle: 4.5 pound first stage, 2 pound second stage. Match rifle: pound first stage, 1 pound second stage. DMR: pound first stage, 1 pound second stage. Andean carries only the service rifle and DMR and only in the small hole version. Geissele Automatics claims the DMR They fit most AR15 makes and calibers without modification. Examples include DPMS/Panther Arms A15 and LR308, Eagle E15, Stag Arms, Smith and Wesson SW15, Bushmaster XM15, Knight/Stoner SR25, Armalite A15 and AR10, and Colt SP1 and AR15. IMPORTANT: As noted above, Colt commercial models (5% of the AR15's on the market) have larger trigger pin diameters than milspec (95% of the AR15's on the market). WHEN A MODIFICATION IS NEEDED... it isn't done to the trigger itself. Some milspec AR15 fire control selectors (a.k.a. thumb safeties) may need to have a little bit of metal removed from non-critical areas to make room for the Geissele's larger trigger-to-safety contact area. Geissele triggers come with detailed instructions. They also come with a applicator bottle of their special lubricant, and an installation pin (a real plus for lining up parts and pins). If you aren't convinced by now to get a Geissele AR15 trigger, the finest match trigger on the market, you're missing out on a mind-blowing experience! You'll find new joy in shooting America's favorite "black rifle." Buy a |
